Since the creation of the Walenstein Musical Organization, it has trained, as well as offering endless performance opportunities and experience to some of the most talented music students in South Florida through its different music programs. We are extremely proud for having the possibility and honor to be part of these student's lives. As Walenstein Musical Organization continues to flourish, we will provide young musicians with the best musical knowledge and opportunities to be the very best they can be.
YING CHAI, violin
Ms. Chai participated in our first music competition in 1999, and was awarded 1st Place. She currently teaches at Merit School of Music in Chicago and performs with Grant Park, Ars Viva, and Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra.
SYLVIA KIM, violinist, also participated in our first music competition and was awarded 2nd Place. She recently joined the first violin section of the Pittsburg Symphony Orchestra. She was concertmaster of Curtis Symphony Orchestra and is a graduate of the Curtis Institut
in Philadelphia.
GABRIELLE FINK, violin
Gabrielle Fink, participant of our music competition, completed her Master of Music Degree and Bachelor of Music Degree at the Manhattan School of Music. She recently made her debut in film and will be featured as a solo violinist in an upcoming DreamWorks film titled Ghost Town and currently substitutes in New World Symphony.
LIANA KOTEVA, violin
Ms. Koteva, another competition graduate, is currently living in New York where she performs on regular basis with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rochester Chamber Orchestra as well as with various Chamber groups around New York and Europe. She is on the Violin Faculty at the Kanack Music School in Rochester, NY.

DANIEL ANDAI, violin
Daniel Andai, previous WMO competition participant, is currently on the faculty at the Miami-Dade College and New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida as well as on the advisory board for the City of Aventura Performing Arts Center. He is also concertmaster of Miami Symphony Orchestra.
MICHAEL DAVIS, viola
Michael Davis began studying the violin in his childhood with members of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Switching to the viola in high school, he has since performed as a soloist and with outstanding musicians such as Fred Sherry, Dennis Kim, Amir Eldan in venues throughout the United States and United Kingdom. In 2008, he was named the winner of the Walenstein Music Competition, and performed as a soloist with the FIU Symphony Orchestra as a winner of the FIU Concerto Competition. He is currently a student of Michael Klotz and the Amernet Quartet, and Assistant Principal of the Miami Symphony Orchestra and Walenstein Symphony Orchestra.
